Hybrid Engines
What is a Hybrid
It's a petrol car assisted by an on-board, battery-powered electric motor, which recharges continuously as you slow down or brake. Meaning? No cables to plug in and no need to change the way you drive. You just sit back and let the technology do the work. Overall, a mild hybrid delivers up to 18% more efficiency: lower fuel bills, less local pollution and longer range vs petrol engines. On top of that, you get quieter starts and the all-important feel of driving electric.
More fun with more comfort
When you're driving a Hybrid, the petrol-powered engine and electric motor work together to optimise fuel efficiency and performance. One just takes over from the other. You won't notice this transition at all, thanks to the super-silky-smooth dual clutch automatic gearbox, giving you a real electric car feel. So where does the fun come in? Instant acceleration from the electric motor. You'll love it.
Electric when and where it counts

At low speeds, whether you're in slow traffic, making an early morning start or manoeuvring into a parking space, the electric motor delivers a totally smooth, super-quiet ride with zero local emissions.

Out on the highway meanwhile -  once you reach cruising speed - the car coasts on stored electric energy, topped up by friction with the road, saving fuel and reducing noise and air pollution.

Petrol & Diesel Engines
Next-gen engines

Turbocharged powertrains in 1.2 petrol1 and high-efficiency 1.5 diesel2 deliver up to 130hp, with highly responsive driving dynamics, yet low running costs and CO2 levels.

1 Fuel consumption combined 5,6 - 5,9 l/100 km; CO2 emission combined 126 - 134 g/km.

2 Fuel consumption combined 4,9 - 5,0 l/100 km; CO2 emission combined 129 - 131 g/km.

Transmissions
Both diesel and petrol powertrains come with your choice of precision-engineered six-speed manual transmission or sophisticated 8-speed automatic.
Driving modes

There’s a driving mode for your every need1. Selecting NORMAL will always give you an ideal balance of range and power, while ECO will optimise efficiency. Of course, whenever you want maximum fun, just hit SPORT to make every drive a thrilling experience.

1 Driving Mode feature only available with automatic transmission.
